Sammic leads the way with innovation at the 2019 NAFEM Show
Thousands of buyers and foodservice professionals attended this year’s NAFEM Show in Orlando Florida. They all had the opportunity to meet with over 600 of the leading equipment and supplies manufacturers. Sammic came to the show with an impressive booth filled with the latest trend setting equipment.
The highlight of new equipment started with the new SmartVide Track System (coming soon) that revolutionizes the way sous-vide can be used in large scale operations with complete control of HACCP. A common response to Sammic’s corporate Chef Enrique Fleishmann’s presentation of the technology was heard in the booth, “This is what we have been looking for!”. The SmartVide Track System allows for unequaled control of each individual product that is cooked in the Sous Vide bath with an advanced RFID tracking system.
Sammic was also excited to launch its new line of hand blender, the XM-12! The mighty little immersion blender was drawing a lot of attention over the three-day show. This compact workhorse of the kitchen comes packed with all the features that a cook demands in their kitchen. The features that were most noticed was the safety light that is lit when the device is energized, a new dishwasher safe blending arm, variable speed control and the Y-Blade system with three blades to blend with. Guests in the booth also really enjoyed picking up the ergonomically designed blender and feeling the anti-slip grip.
Neal Pearlman and Nate Sanford of the Sammic USA sales team were thrilled to host two guest chefs,Venoy Rogers III and Adam Masterson, who were using the SmartVide sous-vide cookers to cook everything from beautiful steak and fish to compressed pineapple and watermelon carpaccio.
