Sammic, in collaboration with the Basque Chef Martin Berasategui has launched the project BasqueStage, which aims to give young chefs and recent graduates the opportunity to turn around their careers, all while enjoying a 6-month, all-expense-paid stay, working in one of the world's most innovative kitchens: in 3-Michelin-Star Martin Berasategui Restaurant in Lasarte.
The first edition, now underway, offers a paid internship of 6 months to accomplish in the first half of 2010 for USA resident young chefs and fresh graduates. Each edition of Sammic Scholarships will be aimed at a specific country or region.
This is an innovative project where, in addition to the culinary skills of the candidates, their communication skills will be taken into account. In addition to their incorporation into the work routine Martín Berasategui restaurant in Lasarte, the scholars will have to talk about their experience according to a communication plan designed by Sammic. This will benefit BasqueStage project with a view to future edition and this will benefit the scholars, improving their future career opportunities.
With all this, Sammic will be present in a direct way in one of the world's most innovative kitchens in order to continue offering the best solutions to meet the needs of the most demanding chefs.
